Amino acids are the building blocks of the body. There are about 20 different amino acids that perform different functions in your body. They can be used individually or combined together.
There are three types of amino acids:
1. Essential amino acids – The body has difficulty creating these amino acids.
2. Nonessential amino acids – These amino acids are produced by the body.
3. Conditionally essential amino acids – The intake of these amino acids depends on your metabolic state.
